avalible games will not stay put

i log on...i see the games... and then they dissappear...then come back...then dissappear!

Can i test my wireless connection to see if it is dropping? I have a wireless PC right next to the xbox and it stays connected.

Help please.

I'm guessing halo2, read the BIG RED STICKY and you'll get sorted. Rolling Eyes

I'll leave in unlocked for the slightest chance of it not being halo2.

By reading the big red sticky - SwiftTank is referring to the forum search.

o gee thanks a whole bunch. i did the search and could not find which ever post of the billion on this forum you are speaking of. if you don't want to be helpful. please don't respond. is it that hard to be nice to your fellow man?

What are you guys talkin about? I read the FAQ and the big red link before I even started lookin around on these forums. I searched for the answer to this question before I stumbled upon this post just browsing. Searching forums can be finnicky when trying to find answers. Search for a topic and get a million irrelevant results. Narrow the search and get none. I always do multiple searchs before I post on a forum. So anyway, what if anything can be done about this? You say its a bug. Is there no fix?

Well, search for "halo 2 flicker" and select 'match all terms' and voila!

It isnt your wireless connection if you are playing Halo 2. Is a bug in the game.
I would say there wont be a fix if there hasnt been one with the new halo 2 update. What it looks like to me is that halo 2 can only show a set a mount of games and when the list is full it has to ping them to get informaiton on them. It pings all the games at once it sees more and decides to refresh the list, verry often i might add. If you are playing a simple LAN game say in a dorm with out using kai, the games will stay there. A "fix" to this bug could be having everyone in the Americas Halo 2 arena on kai make a private arena to play instead of making "trafic jams" in the main room to cause the game refresh. But yeah, people wont do this, like my self i like being in the Americas arena starting a game and playing to my hearts content with out having to go to the computer to change arenas.

The only thing you can do is to deal with it. if you dont like the flicker, start your own game and let others worry about the flicker.
