a few questions i have for Kai 8.
1) Can we see our friends List while hosting a private arena?
2) Can we chat at the public arena while hosting a private arena?
3) Will people get Friend Request notifications? |

1)you can do that right now. what you have to do is toggle the folder button until you see which of your buddies are online. it will only show those that are online, not those that arent |

whats broken with it..... if it just teammates. thats would be the game... not Kai.
Also, you know with Halo you have to hit the white button to talk to all your teammates right? |

Obviously you are not a Halo 2 player so I will let you slide...
The halo 2 team chat has been broken since .. engine 7.0- has been released -if im not mistaken - still no fix in site and over 6+ month of no in-game communication. |

I think whats happening is that the Kai 7 compression engine is deleting the flag in the header saying 'This is Team Chat, don't broadcast it to everyone'. |

You all keep moaning on about this, but I've tested it a few times here and I can never make it do what you say :/
Like Joe said, most people just dont get how the "must be near" or "must use white button" stuff works..
Don't get me wrong - there probably is a problem if so many people say there is, but what I'm saying is that I can never make it do it - it's always perfect for me.

If you are the host, then you will always be able to hear everyone. The problem lies in when you join a game (non-host). My entire clan (Team United) knows all about the "must be near" and about the white button and we always have communication problems between teammates. The problem is real. |

Development on VIII is pretty much ceased except for important updates and whether Andy feels like doing it

will there be an option to arrange a friendly match so we can use the team grab to get everyone into a non ladder match???
I know the new JKai RC6(out this monday) has added the clock to the UI
I also Know that development on EVOVIII has finished and Andy may or may not add this feature
I can only ask nicely and hope it isnt too late(please Andy)
How long till release now????
Not sure where you got your info from, but Evo8 is far from complete. We have not even started the beta testing stage so if you want it added, I would make a post on the TX forums and see what Andy says.

Whoever took my words saying that Evo VII development was dead and added an extra 'I', was incorrect. |

Yeah - we had that feature in the year 1754, if memory serves. We took it out though - because it worked really, really well. Remember though - we were the first to do it.
