XLink and XBC was mentioned as an alternative to XBL in today's Computer Times. Great to see it being mentioned on a major newspaper. Hopefully that will get more people on XLink & XBC... |

Yes it's definately cool with the publicity, however i think that it's very unfortunate that the main focus in the article, as far as i can tell (just browsed through it quickly), is on pirated games and gamers not wanting to pay for games |

yeah, and I think the part with the amount of users on XBC is wrong. I know I have like 7 XBC tags for when I played over there a long time ago. I the way I see it they have about 1000 users with 7 names each. |

That was my first impression also. Not exactly good publicity... but then again, is there such a thing as bad publicity?
Anything that gets more people on Kai has got to be a good thing, but this article really sends out the wrong message. |

Perhaps Team Xlink should drop them a line to set things straight.. like how we don't support piracy here. |

The gamer will need a PC running client software downloadable from one of the third-party services, say, XB Connect (www.xb connect.com) or XLink Kai (www.teamxlink.co.uk). |
hey that xb connect website doesn't work :] |

Would be nice to set him strait, but also let him know that it is not only for Xbox, but PS2 and GCN as well
If you read the AUP it does state

Discussion and advertising of piracy (including links to sites that condone or support piracy) is definitely not allowed, however discussion of homebrew software (primarily for the XBox) is fine.

yeah, the article sortof makes it look asif tunnels are specifically coded to avoid copy potection, while in reality, the fact that backups work is just caused by the way systemlink games work (u can play backups on an actual lan too)
Oh well... |
