No, you don't need to mod your Gamecube to play on Kai. |

the easiest way i think to connect your cube is too use a cross over cable to your computer....
But try your other connections again...because kai won't regonise them if you arn't in lan mode ie. mario kart, 1080, kirby... sooo get back to me |

I dont think i can play with a cross over cable or (twisted cable)...because my internet operator will close my connection then,i have tried it before with to pc,s connected to each other but they closed our connection out to the net....so i think i must use the straight cable from my router, but i think it must work...dont you think?I use MK DD and try to connect via Lan....but the connection will not recognize the cube..... |

Are you using one of the setups specified in the docs on the Team Xlink web site?
And are you saying your ISP will get pissed if you use a crossover cable? I don't understand why that would be the case. If that's true, you need to get a new ISP, since that's insane. |

yes.
*note* the modem adaptor won't work, only the broadband adaptor

I can try to connect with it...but when me and my friend connected our computers together and had a cable out to the net the isp stopped us to reach the net, they wont allow us to connect 2 computers or something else to the net directly i think,i think we must have a router or something else between.
I have real broadband 10/10mbit and i live in Sweden... |

Connect the cube to the pc that has internet. You dont need 2 computers. Your ISP cuts ur net off because you have to pay extra to have 2 computers hooked up to the internet ( they charge extra for home networks) |

They charge extra for home networks? What a crappy ISP . . . how can they even tell? Or are you saying they just charge extra for more IP addresses (that would make more sense)? |

All ISPs charge extra for more than one computer on one internet connection. They dont charge for ips that would be stupid. That would mean in order to play xbox live you have to pay the isp money and pay for xbox live.
If you check the site of your isp it will say that you can upgrade your existing account to a network.
They can tell because there would be 2 ips connecting to the servers.
Just connect your console to the computer with internet via cross over or wireless (if its in another room). |

Not my ISP. With SBC, you don't pay any extra if you have a home network; they just charge you extra if you want to have more than one IP address. Which means if you want to have a home network without paying extra, you need a router so that you only have one public IP. |

That is retarded ( but hey it makes them money) Yeah buying a router with that isp would be the best bet. I think charging for IPs is highway robery. |
