Hey all,
I got a question about using burned gc games with gcars since I lost my v1.0 ssbm cd and I decided to look for a ssbm v1.0 iso and got it. I also tested it with gcos dol and gcars dol and they didn't find the cd but when I tried the ninjashell dol it detected it and it worked, so I'm wondering how to make it work with gcars.
Any ideas? |

Well, that's because of the drive code GCARS uses. It's kind of old, but I don't like messing with drive code sets. Convince comeone to give me a really good drive code set and I'll implement it immediately though |

GCARS-CS uses the GCOS drivecode, so if it doesn't work with GCOS, it won't work with GCARS-CS. I believe the Ninjashell .dol is not open-source (correct me if I'm wrong), so GCARS-CS can't easily use its drivecode. I suggest you wait for GCOS to improve to the point where it works with your media, and then ask Fuzziqer to add the new drivecode to GCARS-CS.
Alternatively, you could ask the GCOS people for help with getting your burned disc to work with GCOS, and there's a good chance that their suggestions would also work with GCARS-CS.
EDIT: Ah, I see Sharpener already replied. |

I got a broadband recently to replace the modem which didnt work.
I put the rj45 cable in to the broadband and then put it into the modem which computers use. (Not the gamecube modem) And then i put a different cable in from the modem to the phone connection socket which then goes into the wall.
Thats how i connect it up.
After that i click LAN mode on the title screen on Mario K DD.
It connects to LAN mode but then it says searching for gamecube systems. (Some thing like that.) After that count down from 180 ends it says i have a linking error. I dont get it can some one help me please.
Thanks. |
