if zelda was made into a movie what actor would you pick for link?

Probably that slightly gay looking British guy who was in pirates of the Carib.

Orlando Bloom - thats him ...

Bitch looks like an elf or some shit - he'd be great at Link..

he actualy played an elf in LotR (Legolas)

id pick Elijah Wood 'cause i see Link as more of a Halfling

i kinda have to agree with both bllom looks like an elf but wood has the right height

but who knows it could be kinda cool to see wood as young lin and bloom as adult link or sumthin lke that.

naa he is just plain insain hehe

lord of the rings kinda goes along with the look and feel of Link so i would have to agree with either of those

Not sure how legolas would look with shorter hair though

I can't see it being a typical movie though... it would take a really skilled actor to be able to portray a character with little to no dialogue and rely mostly in suggestion and body movement. Facial expression would be a huge thing, too. So... that rules out Vin Diesel. He's hired for his "sex appeal" to get women to watch his movies, he relies too much on his looks and voice and popularity. Orlando Bloom... I can't see him having the array of facial expressions that I'd want to see on film (he doesn't really have a "happy" or a "calm" expression... which would be necessarry). If it came down to it, Elijah Wood would probably be a better choice over Bloom... if I had to choose, I'd say Chris O'Donnell (that was a horrible joke btw, I hate that guy... he ruined Batman and Three Musketeers). I really don't know who'd fit the role best, but then again I wouldn't be the one to decide if a movie really were to be made some day. But... as for Zelda... I'd have to go with Liz Taylor. She'd be superb in that role. Just as long as they didn't leave her hair as long and dark from LotR. She has an "innocent" expression as well as a powerful presence when needed (like if Zelda were to erect a barrier or something, she could actually pull off the illusion that she's using powers rather than a cg-generated effect is surrounding her). So... yeah. Those are my opinions at least.

EDIT- About the Batman reference... Val Kilmer/George Clooney also helped to destroy the dignified series, and once Tim Burton was out of the picture as well... *sigh*. Also... for a composer, I wouldn't choose anyone other than Danny Elfman. He's absolutely amazing. Check out some of Tim Burton's films like Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman/Batman Returns... etc. There's way too much to list.

Would have to be an unknown. Then no one would have any pre-conseptions etc.

If it had any of the LOTR actors it would bomb. They would associate it with LOTR. Look at every movie that Bloom was in, everyone exept pirates of the carib he had a bow and arrow. The guy cant act that good. I think they should search for the best one. He should be british or have a non american acent.
(Tom Cruise would make a good Squall Lionheart form FFVIII)

It's not out of place in my mind because it's someone in a Link costume... which would most likely happen if it were to be on the big screen Razz
