Anyone else noticed that on Fuzziqer's site, he mentioned a new feature in GCARS-CS and refused to give any info on what it is?
Quote:
Another feature...... you'll see when it's released. I'm actually surprised nobody's written another one yet.

So, what does everyone think it is? Personally, based on his comment, I'm guessing it has nothing to do with ControlSim or the Action Replay Simulator themselves, since there's nothing about those that the comment would make sense with IMHO. I think it has something to do with backups (since a large part of the homebrew community deals with them). If I had to guess, I'd guess that it's a new way to boot backups, possibly booting them from SD cards. Which is based on a comment Fuzziqer made on GCDev, when someone asked if that was possible.

Of course, I could be way off base, and the new feature could have nothing to do at all with backups. So what does everyone think it could be?

No, it doesn't involve the disc drive or playing backups. Good guess though - there's a prototype game ripper in the debug menu. Don't try it; it doesn't quite work yet Laughing

This new feature is on the main menu. It's better even than the one Nintendo wrote, because it can use Levine, and doesn't have restrictions on some operations (like Nintendo's does).

And it's even improved a bit further than the one I showed |3laze...... (don't say what it is yet lol)

P.S. The server is not suspended or cancelled. I'm trying to fix up my horribly written server code. But that's not what the new feature is Laughing

Diffuse thinks it's a memcard manager. That would fit, seeing as it would use Levine, it would be better than Nintendo's, it wouldn't have restrictions on operations like Nintendo's, and it's on the main menu. Haha, Fuzz, we're on to you!

Lol, actually I didn't cheat, I didn't even notice that you had PMed me until a day after I posted that. I just had been talking to Diffuse, and he told me what he thought it was, and I thought it was a good guess, and so I posted it here. And he was right, as I found out when I finally noticed that "You have 1 new message" thing at the top. By the way, isn't the forum supposed to e-mail me when I get a PM? Because it didn't; that's why I never noticed it.

Oh so you could like copy or move game saves you couldnt move within the GCN bios? That would be great! Move all your saves on 2-59 block mem cards and 1-251 mem card to 1-1019 memcard.
Even tho i dont like madden, i cant save anything from madden on my memory cards. I keep giving 05 chances to win me over but i end up quitting when i freakin fumble from revieving the kickoffs and the other team runs it in for a TD. ( what makes it worse is that i was the patiots and i was playing the admirals -.-)
