The one i have says SCPH-10350U / 97045 on the NIC and does not have a modem.
It is actually part of the PS2 Linux Kit
but ill be damned, guess where i found the pic of the box and adaptor, in the uk section of the playstation.com page!!!!
But i bought the kit from the US Sony Playstation website! and the Linux DVD says NTSC U/C right on the front! Also the box the NIC came in says UC on it so im thinking it is the same.
Also why the heck would Sony allow the game companys to not make a game that does not support all Official Sony hardware!
AFAIK - There is no diffrence in the hardware cross platforms (NTSC/PAL) for any of the adaptors, but i could be wrong.
Here is another pic that has the 2 diffrent Ps2 Official NIC's
Still both are official adaptors and should be supported by all games! i mean i understand if socom 2 won't use my USB D-Link NIC but to not use the official adaptor!!!!!!! COME ON
What i don't get is TimeSplitters 2 sees the adaptor just fine, heck timesplitters 2 also sees my USB D-Link NIC.
Poor programing if you ask me, poor quality control on sony's part too for allowing them to relese the game without having this taken care of! |
