Using: XBMC 1.1.0 CVS build 2005-04-09 [iLeet] (was failing on previous versions too)

After deleting kai-vectors.xml and rebooting, file gets rebuilt ok, but some games (Doom3,PGR2) can not be launched from Xlink (error: Unable to find game) and they are not built into the xml file. However most are, I can play Halo2, etc with no probs over Xlink Kai.

So i'm wondering what the mechanism is to detect the ID? I can go through XBMC "My Programs" and load Doom3 or PGR2 from there.

Some possible clues:

- I have a mix of PAL and NTSC games (TV handles both), but Doom3 is NTSC, Halo2 and PGR2 are PAL (ie. no direct correlation).

- Games are split onto different partitions and configured as such in the standard XboxMediaCenter.xml file. However, there is no correlation between the games not working by the partitions they're on (ie. Halo2, Doom3 and PGR are all on F)

Bueller?

Wierdness...today I tried again (deleted kai-vectors.xml) rebooted, hey presto all working!

Maybe I didn't give it enough time rebuilding the list?

Apologies for the wasted electrons Embarassed

I thought there was only one option for a directory in the Kai configuration within XBMC, are you sure you didn't just move the games to the same partition to solve the problem?

100% sure...didn't move a thing, and like dfunked says, it's not how it works

I did read this before posting, but I didn't read TaskMaster's comment at the bottom, namely: give it a few minutes, not seconds Rolling Eyes
