Still "Sony Playstation 2, failed to configure"

I have tried EVERYTHING these forums have suggested and still no luck. Network is reachable and all that other good stuff... It works fine with my xbox but not ps2. My router IP is 192.168.0.1 It is a D-Link DI-604. My ps2 Mac Address is 00:04:1F:06:DC:C4 Can someone help?

i been dealing with this situation today(first day) i am still waiting for someone to tell me what else to do after i get the "failed to configure" message.

sorry the link used to work .. TD ? do you have DHCP running anywhere ? router , windows xp ?

the guy hasn't reply so i will take that question, since we both dealing with the issue. i have a wireless dsl/router combo( from westell) i came with the verizon service and i do use windows xp which i heard has a firewall on it oh and i have zone alarm firewall.

OK i used that link and i got this message

Manually set IP to be: 10.252.168.248 with subnet 255.255.0.0. Other settings - ignore or leave blank.

where do i do all of that^, using the NA disc?.

ya with the disc and the ps2 .. also if after doing that it still fails to configure change the 252 (10.252.xxx.xxx) to 253 , if that doesn't work try 254 .. leave all the other stuff on the ps2 blank, don't think it matters ..

actually i got it to connect and configure successfully BUT i can't actually join a game, was going on?. what do i have to do next?

I did what you said above about changin the 252 to 253 etc. But when I went to test after tweaking and Shit it said it wasnt getting a response from the DNS server. My primary and secondary DNS are both set to 0.0.0.0 ... Do I need to set it to my computers DNS?

can some one help me i have the same problem to were do u get the ip adress and the mac adress to you ps2 how do you get all that shit and where do you put it at do you put it in were you setup your internet for your ps2 right pleaz help

were do u go to find this out

and my ps2 don't show the mac adress when you hit the triangle button it don't show the mac adress help
