freezing whilst attaching to orbital

as the title says when i load kai this happens after beeing left for a few miuntes it goes back to requerying orbital mesh, ive used kai sucsessfuly before and this has happened when i tried to use it today ive cheacke and fiddled with my port forwardign and the kai port and iave reinstalled kia with a fresh copy fro mthe website im a bit stuck can any one help?
edit: sorry dident make my network setup clear
net cable internet
cheap ass router
wired to the system runnign kai
any help vastly appreciated

maaan . . I was up till 4am mucking about with kaid and gkaiui last night, eventualy sacked it off and installed xp for kai purposes . . . and now !! THIS !! waaaaah !

Seems it's everyone though, and not just my tinkering frenzy. Man I only had ONE game ! ....

But something i noticed, Kai worked until it downloaded something i dont remember what but when i first ran it this morning it took longer to load than usual and thats when this problem started for me so I uninstalled Kai and then re-installed it incase it had been damaged and the first time i ran it it loaded but the second time i ran it it said it was downloading something (as before) and then froze as before ?

Ive had to use xbconnect to tide me over today whilst Kai aint been workin Sad

Sorry to double post but whilst typing my previous info was further proven as i have just uninstalled and reinstalled Kai again and upon on the first load it works but when i load it after that it doesnt (second load takes longer too) ?

Can you tell me which orb you usually connect to? Need to find out which one is the problem.

Yeah, it happened to mee to, only for a couple of hours. I couldn't even get on the web site, so you all not alone

It's working on me now. didn't touch anything, maybe it's just the orbital/server Question

Yeah I confirmed it was a new orbital server brought up today / yesterday.
