Would be great if you could just fire up the xbox, load up a Kai xbox user interface program, and use kai. Would be great if we could take the PC out of the equation.

i dont have to turn on my PC to play on kai.... i have the kai engine running on my router, and I use XBMC or Avalaunch as my UI.

I usualy use the PC UI though as I like to load up a game and navigate and chat while looking for a game.

but whos to say what will be possible with the next generation of consoles.

You can do that, but it'll cost you $6/month Laughing

just use the WRT54G with Kai firmware and you do NOT need a PC at all, just load up Xbox Media Center and you never have to use a PC again!

It would be cool if you could somehow desing some XDK solution, so when the box boots up the XDK files it booted a kai engine. Only problem would be that Halo 2 crashes a Dev Kit machine.

There's loads of possibilities for running kaid without pc. The wrt/xbmc setup is superb. U can do xbox(linux)/xbox(xbmc) if u have 2 xboxes. There has been alot of homebrew development in the gamecube scene, who know the next combination could be gamecube(kaid)/xbox.

Give me a week, a T1 internet connection (Unlimited downloads), an XDK, Microsoft Visual C++.net 2005, some BIOS source code, unlimited amounts of caffine, and a computer made with the most up to date stable prototype brandname hardware.

Or I could do it the Xindows way, with a hacked up award BIOS, a million dollar budget and a team of about a hundred people. (And they have yet to get video running).

Well im not one to spread rumors but since it came direct from Td you can bet your ass its a fact. Someone is working on a kai engine that runs on the box. I would assume it works in a similar manner as the XIG. Mad love to xr for that one Wink Anyway i dont remember what thread it was in and im too lazy to search right now. If some one with some motivation wanted to look for it though you could probably find it. I think the title was something about XBMC ruining xlink.
**cough**BULLSHIT!!**COUGH!***
sorry, had to show my love for XBMC Very Happy

I hope it doesn't end up like Kaid on Xbox Linux.
