yup
I did some reading on X-S nd turns out the best choice are HDTV's with these specs:
1. Support 720p
2. Not weigh more than you
3. have a 16:9 Widescreen display
it really comes down 2 how much you wanna spend
$650 USD - will get you a nice HDTV (CRT) with all the bells nd whislte you'll need for your next-gen consoles. this tv is best suited for XBox 360
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1099396991028
$1,248 USD - This one supports 720p, 32" 16:9 widescreen display, it's an LCD so weigh isn't a concern and has a resolution of 1366 x 768. Its a good price for a LCD thats this good, this is the same one that was in the MTV 360 event so its best suited for the 360.

I'd advise every 1 to hold on to your cash. HDTVs aren't mainstream technology as yet. I imagine once their adoption is more widespread, China will begin churning out cheap HDTVs.
The 2 types of HDTVs are
1920 pixels × 1080 lines or 1280 pixels × 720 lines
I think 1080 will the the 1 to go for. XBOX360 and PS3 will both be 1080, however PS3 will support progressive scan while XBOX360 will only support interlaced scan.

Pfft. It's a lower level family room man. We in Wisconsin have "basements".
The room you are looking at used to be a root cellar with a dirt floor.
Now it's a full blown "MAN ROOM", entertainment center, surround sound,PC, ping pong, electronic darts......... 14x24 The ceiling is only 7'2", but hey....It's all mine. |

Thanks.
I've had mine about 3 years. I found a helluva deal at that time.....$1200US. I think the new models are about the same price, but I haven't really needed to shop since buying this.
http://www.guidetohometheater.com/directviewandptvtelevisions/19/
It is a 50h81...50" wide screen, with all the bells and whistles. It is capable of all HD aspects accept 1080p(which is useless at this point anyway) and 720(which is currently what xbox games are when they step up from 420)
I am looking forward to the 360 with the 1080i. |

LOL, that's cool. Sorry man, Living in Florida, only thing a basement would be here is an underground swimming pool.
As far as HD and stuff, I'm gonna be looking into a projector sometime this year. The benifits and picture quality of a bigscreen, but without all the bulkyness. |

A good HD Projecter will coast around $5,000 USD
for 4,000$USD you can get a 60" Sony LCD |

...but with a bunch of added fan noise, especially on cheaper LCD projectors. |

Best Buy has HD-TV's starting at 27" with 1080i at $400.
I intend to buy an HDTV with my sister's employee discount (muwahaha! up to 50% off in that section) before the consoles come out |
