Xbox Price Drops

Has anyone heard of any Xbox price drops lately? I know the 360 is launching november. Does anyone expect any drops?

No, not really. M$ has already dug into their Xbox 1.4b supplies, and this is as low as it can get IMO.

?.. I've never used Live.. ever... don't want it... I chose having an endless suply of games rather the paying for Live agmes and not having a community.

if u get the xecuter mod chip u can go on and offline just filp the switch

I hope after the release of Xbox 2 they'll make Live a free service with no credit card/debit card needed (not likely)

There is plenty of community on Live. I didnt care much for the RB6 Live players way back... but after all the GR2 hacking on KAI, a lot of SVC have migrated to live. You still have a$$holes... but for the most part its a very nice community. Best of all.. no one is hacking. Smile

I wont be buying every game for LIVE, but i will be for my main games.

For the record, even if you switch off your mod chip ...try and play Halo 2 on Live with the updates, and you will get banned if your hard drive differs to the one you originally signed upto Live with, or something along those lines ... I don't care to risk it myself lol

Got a feeling protection will be through the roof for the XB 360 , plus I will be waiting for atleast 2nd generation mod chips before I take the plunge on mine.

I'd wait untill 5th gen at least. You never know what tricks M$'ll have up their sleve... Can you say 'Excessivly high encryption on most of the BIOS'?

I thought we was already at Gen 5. Xbox 360 should be the first Gen 6 machine.

not that it maters. Just to make it simple i'll quote one console from each gen.

1. Atari 2600
2. NES
3. Megadrive
4. N64
5. PS2
6. Xbox 360

anyway whatever generation it is I hope they dont forget about the last gen and let XBox and PS2's owners down with sub standard games, at least for the first couple of years.

I'd be very supprised to see a decent game for the Xbox that won't be moved to the 360 after it's released.

I meant a 5th gen modchip, in reply to the person above me, BTW.
