that's the thing it's for the PC version of Kaid......

cool. since kaid is working fine with just the mac, all you need to do is enter the powerbook's IP in XBMC (Settings->My Programs->XLink Kai->Engine IP).

see if that works. Very Happy

I am having the same problem. I run xlink fine with the UI on my comp. I am trying to use the XBMC UI, I have my IP and user settings correct. I just cant seem to find the option on OSX Kaid to use the dashboard, like i have seen ppl talking about the normal use option or the engine only (dashboard UI). Theres no option like that on the OSx version.

you dont need to set the option like Win32 users. KaidOSX allows XBMC UI takeovers by default.

try this:

1. launch KaidOSXMenu and enter your Xtag and password in the preferences (KaidOSXMenu preferences, not in the UI)

2. start XBMC and remove all info - including IP address, User ID, etc. in the XLink Kai Settings page

3. Start Kaid (just the engine)

4. Reboot your xbox and start XBMC

see if that works for you

It definetly used to work for me, i cant seem to do it now though. I use a direct connection witha n ethernet cable and no router. When i was changing my settings so that i can FTP my xbox kai stopped working on XBMC. If anyone knows which setting are involved they could save me some time and i would be grateful.

EDIT I mean the OSX system settings not the xbox or kai ones. By the way what does the option engine pat mean?
