ok i have seen that mediacenter has an option where it says that you can put your xtag and password to conect to xlinkay, so i was wondering if there was a way to conect to xlinkay via the mediacenter without having the computer on , perhaps i can install xlinkay in my xbox? can someone help? thanks in advance

p.s: i have a 2wire modem and its on all the time, even if my computer is off so iguess that it is a good thing and maybe i can achieve what i want Razz

You can't connect to Kai using only XBMC (media center). You can, however, get rid of the computer by buying a Linksys WRT54G router and flashing the router with Kai firmware. Then all you would need to do is connect your xbox to the router and you don't have to use the computer anymore. You need a router or a computer to connect to kai. It's xlink kai btw.

Actually you can, Xbox Media Center CAN connect to a Kai engine, the catch is that the kai engine has to be running either on your computer OR the linksys WRT54G.

Basically you use Xbox Media Center as a remote control for Kai Wink

I meant that you can't use kai only on XBMC without a router or a comp. Thanks for clearing that up. The firmware is only for the WRT54G router made from linksys, because the linksys router allows firmware flashing, I believe. Here's a link to the router, WRT54G.

I think a linksys is some sort of cat or something. Laughing

Find out what you have, then what you need, then worry about flashing firmware. Wink

Settings > Programs (or is it My Programs?) > Xlink Kai Smile

bear in mind you need to have a build that has xlink kai in it (which is all the builds from the last year or so at least).

Moving this to the XBMC section.

Valholy, you would of learned a lot more if you did a search, or had a quick look through our XBMC section.
