Hi, I've been following the quick-start guide on this website, and I've set it up using etup B (USB modem, crossover cable --> Xbox, etc). However, my console isn't detected. In the quick start guide it says I need to port forward, but first I need to create a static IP address. Since I am using just a computer with no router / LAN attached, the quick start guide didn't work for me. So, my question is how do you create a static IP address using a USB modem? Btw, my modem is a Speedtouch 330.

Sorry, I believe my question has changed a bit... It appears I don't have to create a static IP address if I am not using a router, however, I now have a different problem. Confused I am using an NIC card with a Ethernet RJ45 crossver cable to connect my PC directly to my Xbox. I also have a Speedtouch USB modem (broadband) goign into my phone socket. Do I have to bridge these connections at all, or are there any changes to KaiConfig, Windows Friewall, etc, that I could make to try and help my network become reachable? Thanks.
