Setting NUMBER Players in GT4 Lan Settings?

...the screen where you set yourself as Host (or not), and the number of Players.

I typically only play 2-player races, but, occassionally 3.

Is there any drawback to just leaving that setting at 3 Players, even when I do a 2player race?

It still works. Just wondering if any reason not to.

Hmm, weid, if you set your GT lan play settings to 3 players and are only having a 2 player race then it shouldnt work, the PS2 should just sit there waiting for the 3rd player to join.

Yes, it is weird.
Also, I recall when I first started Hosting GT4 and Kai, I always used to have # of Players = 1, for a 2-player race, thinking the setting was asking me how many people are joining you, the Host---and it worked.

I put the number of people to join the room, then it should works otherwise it wont works.

so what happens if you set the number of players to 6?
