Ok, I am writting an a page on why i am proud to be an american, its for school, and I am entering it, the 1st place winner gets $500! And i really need this money so can you tell me what you think of it ?
Why I'm Proud To Be An American
Why am I proud ? I am proud to be an American, why shouldn't I be ? We know America has it's ups and downs, with war,and weather. But the reason I am pround to to be an American is beucase, poeple are seen, they have freedom of speach, and freedom. Not all countries have those thing like us, where poeple can you see you, where you have your own right of speech, and freedom. People dream of America wishing that they were here, and I am really glad I am. We have some kids that want to go to school but can't, we have some people who want to say something but cant. If they would just allow them to have freedom of speach, just one person could change the world just buy one sentence.
When 9/11 took place, we went to war. We had soliders fighting for America. Some of them lost there lives fighting for our safty, and I repsect them them for fighting for our country.I have a very good friend who lives in a diffrent country, and he says a lot of good things about America, And I starting thinking that I am very lucky that I live in such a great place here in America. So god bless America! |

And what does going to war have to do with being a proud American?
Your whole thing is off track, barely telling why you are a "Proud American".

Jelly, I think you need to touch more on what America has to offer Americans and what they do for Immigrants. You have education, food, shelter and much much more. Screw the weather man, thats mother nature. If you can fix it up and a word of advice here, use Microsoft Word and then the spelling/ grammar tool. You might just make out ok. |

Jelly although i can disagree & rant on the statements you made above, specially with the so called Freedom, but not gonna as this IS a school project. try to stay away from political statements, and what Ballistik said.

So you should just add a line like "I am proud bo be an American because we did not invent the English Language". |

Yes there is. He's 15 years old and making an attempt to work very hard when in third world countries, there are people his age who are forced to drop out of school to work full time to help support the family off of a few measely dollars. I understand some people dont see him as a "tribute" to being a proud American but he is stating that he loves his country and wouldnt have it any other way which to be honest with you, is fucking amazing because if you watch the news here in America, we've been having an issue with native born American's who have declared all out war against America(their own homeland). It's a shame that I keep seeing accusations about a rise in a sudden issue, too. |

We didn't necessarily go to war because of 9/11.
What triggered the war were the "weapons of mass destruction." |
