Did you read the FAQ? What's your setup? |

I have the same problem...I'm using 2 NICs and can't get xlink to recognize my GC. (I went into diagnostics in xlink and LAN mode in MKDD)
NOTE: All firewalls were off, Network reachable = yes
Questions:
-must you enable internet connection sharing between NIC 1 (internet-PC) and NIC 2 (PC-GC)?
-do you have to manually assign an IP address to NIC 2?
-do you have to forward any ports?
-do you have to bridge the two connections in WinXP?
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance! |

You need a cross cable to connect the gamcube to the ethernet card. This isnt a standard cord you can buy at walmart. You will have to go to a compuer store or buy an xbox system link cable. |

OK, I think I solved the problem. Got a long cable so I could connect my GC directly to a hub in another room, and instantly xlink detected it. The extra NIC may go out the window, it caused me so much frustration!
Now if I could only find an opponent to test it with...we need more players here. |
