Detecting my XBox

Is there anything I should do to get Kai to detect my XBox? I don't know when it looks for your XBox, so I've tried booting Kai with XBox already on "Looking for games" screen and I really can't think why Kai can't see my XBox, unless there is something within the program I need to do.

I did the Help think on the Kai site, and go this reply:
If you don't even get to see games to join from your console and TV, your console may not have been detected on your network. To check if your console has been detected, check the Performance / Configuration panel in XLink Kai. It is also possible that you are suffering from the same problems as discussed in the option 'I see the games on my console'. Review your network setup and consult the FAQ page and our Official XLink Forums for possible solutions.

I know my XBox is good no the network, because I could play on previous versions o fKai, XBC and a program I wrote myself (with TD's help, lol) can detect the XBox.

Anyone any ideas? Cheers Wink

Ok, I sorted it out Smile

I was running WinPCap 3.1b, which Kai noticed and didn't download the version that it needs. So I uninstalled WinPCap, reboot, reinstall Kai, run Kai, Kai downloads WinPCap 3.0 and job's done Wink

I'm having the same problem and tried what you listed, but it still doesn't seem to work for me.

How do you know if your xbox was detected? When I go to "Performance" all I see is "XLink Kai is Online.." Should it show something about my xbox there?

i get the same problem, sometimes if i reload kai enough times, it detects it.

detection isnt "paramount"

i mean, if you can see a game, game on, but if you cant see your xbox detected when you have left it in a hosting mode, after about 2 mins or so, then you may have a problem.

i am just saying detection isnt a "solution" its just a means to an end.
