first i have to say, GREAT WORK TEAM XLINK
this thing is fucking amazing!
i noticed that when people rush the count in halo, right after i hosted a game once, i get this error in windows...
this, like i mentioned, this only happens if someone rushes the 30 second countdown, and only after i already hosted at least one game so that may be a solution in and of itself (unless someone isn'y paying attention when i tell them not to rush the count), but i just wanted to report this problem, if it is one...
anyway, my setup is a Netgear RT314 Router, DHCP on, with my PC (WinXP SP1) in the 'DMZ' and my xbox hooked up to the router too...
thanks for all the effort put into this app! |

I dont know much about your problem but I do know that in XBC when people rush the timer it would make the players out of sync and lag. |

I dont think it's specific to the steps you mentioned because I didnt host last night at first but was getting that at random after starting to use Kai. I did finally try hosting a couple times and saw that error notice maybe once after that as well.
So, what causes it and how to stop it? |

Faceless I got that same error when I was trying to JOIN a game last night. In the Kai Setup theres use LOCAL IP oe use ANY IP I dont know what that setting is for but I put it to Use ANY. I was havig an issue trying to join a couple RS3 servers I could join a couple but others would do a connection fail, after I rebooted the xbox and Kai like a million times I got in |

I got this error too when i tried hosting for halo. I also have kai set to "use any ip" so you guys know. I also hosted for project gotham racing 2 for 8 hours and nothing happened so i have no idea what the problem could be hopefully it will be resolved so we can play halo somewhat lagg free. On another note when i did host for halo the game ran smooth for about 10 minutes before it started lagging like hell. I would say there were less than 8 people in the game but it lagged me out and so i got the xbox connection loss message. Am sure team xlink will figure this out
Ps: By the way hey faceless i played in one of your rounds..good game |

rather than start a new thread i thought i'd just reply to this one...
even with the latest "Sunday 30 May, 2004" update, the dreaded IP Conflict error still happens... even when just in chat and not actually playing...
