I have played it on GCARS-CS multiple times when I was testing with Diffuse, so I can confirm that it works. However, I no longer have any free time to play it online; sorry.

I may try this game. Is the vs mode like it was for the DC (where if you die, you start at the checkpoint of EITHER player)? I liked Sonic 2 vs. on genesis the best.
