I am currently running kai off of my cable internet connection. The problem is I don't have a very fast upload speed for hosting a game.
I have access to a remote linux server with a pretty good amount of bandwidth. My question is, can I run kai on the remote linux box with the high speed connection and use my cable connection to connect my xbox to it to host a game? Would this allow more people to play at a time?
If this is possible, does anybody know where I can find a guide on how to set this up? |

No, the system running Kai has to be on the same physical network as the xbox. |

could it be possible via a vpn or setting up a tunnel from his physical network to that network? and he could then run the engine via remote on the server? |

Maybe, but it would use even more bandwidth than just running Kai on the local network.. The same amount of game traffic would pass back and forth, and VPNs tend to have more overhead than Kai. |
