The title should say it all.
My XBox is wired to my router Linksys WRT54G, my Windows XP pc is connected to router wirelessly with a linksys wireless g pci card. I can't figure out how to make this work.
I am terribly new to this, but I did search the board. I couldn't find anything after wading through seven pages of misc. I apologize if this is incredibly newb.
I am not terribly comfortable with flashing my router, because I have the understanding that I won't be able to use it the same way afterwards... Again, I'm new, I might be wrong.
I cannot run my pc wired to the router. I do pc repair for people on a regular basis, I can mod systems, and I can program tiny stupid everythings; but I cannot get my computer to accept a wired network... I've had 'experts' take a look. Reasons for this unknown.
So; my question is how to make XLink running on the wireless pc work with the xbox which is wired to the router.
One more time, I am terribly sorry if this has been posted many times before, I don't intend to flood when there have already been threads on this. I'm new, please be understanding of this. I just want to get started in this community.
Thank you. |

Geebus... Now; if I flash my router, what changes on it, aside from the fact that I can suddenly use XLink?
Can all my other devices still use the router normally, or no?
I really want this to work; but I can't afford to lose functionality altogether. |

So; what's all this stuff that people are so concerned about with flashing their routers then? Or is that just a lot of ungrounded rumors? |

A whole new story. Long story short, you'll need a .bin file to flash your router's firmware from its homepage (192.168.1.1). More info can be aquired on the linksys website or browse the forums here for any related threads. |
