to awnser your 2nd qestion you only can play LAN enabled games online.....such as mario kart 1080 and kirbys air ride....
to awnser your 1st qestion you will have to have 2 network cards....on that is connected to the internet/router wich either one you have and then you will need to have a crossover cable...a crossover cable looks like a rj45 cable but usualy orng.....so if you have any further qestions just post them here

Wait, so you can't do any connection unless you have cable/Dsl? And, where do you get these cables, and for how much?
I'm a little confused....... |

So... um... let me get this straight, 'cause I ain't all that good in understanding what other people tell me...
To play LAN-enabled GCN games online, I'll need a broadband adapter if I got DSL/Cable connection or a Modem for Phone-Jack connection. Then, I'll need some kinda wireless router that hook it up to the net or something along those lines...
What am I forgetting? |

To play Online (with Kai), you need:
*. Gamecube
*. Broadband Adapter (for gamecube)
*. A game with LAN-support, 1080, Mario Kart: DD or Kirby Air Ride
*. Broadband connection.
You can NOT play any other game online using Kai.
Modem-adapter will NOT work.
Games that is possible to play ONLINE (on SEGA-servers).
Phantasy Star Online ep. 1&2
Phantasy Star Online ep. 1&2+
Phantasy Star Online ep. 3
These 3 games can be played online with both modem- and Brodband-adapter. |

Ok thanks Neo, that helped clear up a lot of things in my mind, but I keep hearing things about a Wireless router... what is that for?
And if that's not required, then I just need to figure out a way to connect my GCN to my PC right?
EDIT: Nevermind, I finally figured it out, thanks anyways. |
