I do not know if it is just me or what, but when I open XLink, everything initially is fine... working perfectly. However it appears as if there may be some sort of a memory leak in the software (I brought up this problem with the previous version of Kai, but no one would listen to me). After I start the program and say, scroll down the list of online users quickly, or start using the internet, things in the program start disappearing or changing. All of the cool logos are gone and the font changes from small to big and back again. Eventually, the program just becomes unusable. I do not think the problem is with my computer as I have used other tunneling applications before, but, who knows? I guess it could be. |

Can we get any word from one of the devs? VII looks like it rocks and I really want to get it running on my system! Also, I just thought I would let you know that the software *does* work as I played some Project Gotham 2 games, but after a while, I have to restart the app due to not being able to see anything. |

I don't know if this will be fixed as this problem has existed for a while now. |

I mentioned when the previous version of Kai was released, but no one believed me. Maybe now they will. |

Hi,
Yeah Byrne - we saw you mention it before, and we fixed a ToolTip leak which we thought was it - but its actually leaking the small 16x16 bitmaps used for all the buttons..
The problem doesn't arrise on NT-Kernel based platforms (nt4, 2k, xp) - as in those platforms, GDI is implemented in the Kernel, and automatically deletes DC Objects when they fall out of scope.. We relied on 98 having that, but it obviously doesn't. It's a pretty simple fix, and will be in tonights update.
Tex has a VM setup now with 98 in it - we'll give the whole thing a good kicking to make sure it doesnkt leak.

Leave it small. And don't fuck with the picks. Than there are still enough recources left to play.
Running W98se on 200Mhz P1 and 64Mb.
memory left 50%. |

The bug with the memory leakage in W98se seams to be fixed.
At least on my PC. But I think it will works for others as well.
Thanks |
