Each time I start a game hosting or joining, after about 2-3 seconds it says this everytime and quits me out of the game.

I have put a port tcp and udp that is open that is used for xbocnnect as well in the Kai configuration utility but this does not help.

Is anyone able to tell me how I can solve this problem.

I turned of the XP firewall, but I have a stubborn hardware firewall in the router that doesnt let me do much and usually needs me to open some kind of ports.

Open up 1 port say 30000, then in the kaiconfig put 30000 in for the Kai Port. Leave the Deep Port alone.

That should be all you need.

Thanks.

Look up howto do it for your router. You can try the following places for help doing this.

Read the XLink FAQ,
http://www.portforward.com ,
Or the manufactures web site.

If none of those help
let me know!

Good Luck!
Smile

And what should I put under "Application?" It asks the name of the application I'm forwarding the ports to.

Sorry for being such a nuisance.

Uber Cool Kai ????

Whatever you want that is for you only just to help you remember why you put that particular forward in your router

I did the same thing. Using the configurator I put the value 30000 in the kai port and then I even port forwarded 29999-30001 to my PC with kai running, and nothing. I can see all the games and people can see the games i create, however no one can join. Kai does find my xbox, so i know the winpcap is working...plust i uninstalled and reinstalled everything.

Everyone sugges to leave the deep port to 0, why is that? what does that port do? I have windows XP however i'm not running a firewall, just that i'm behind a router.

Do i need to do anything with port 3074 for an xbox? someone mentioned it online and i also saw it in the FAQ. Does that port get forwared to my xbox (0.0.0.1)?

Well it still isn't working for me. I mean, I can still get into a game just fine, but I get kicked as soon as the game starts. I'm guessing that there's other things that I need to do, but that'll take a long time, so I'll wait until the weekend.

ok if your still not seeing games and you have no software firewall try this

If people can see your ping but not your xbox/gc/ps2 you need to try a diffrent version of winpcap
http://winpcap.mirror.ethereal.com/301a/download.htm
Uninstall WinPcap
Reboot
Run Winpcap installer
Reboot
Try Kai again!

No, you misunderstand, I can see the games and join them just fine, but as soon as I join, I get the system link difficulty message and I get disconnected from the game.

And I tried to configure my router, there's just so much BS that I just lost it.

But you don't have to try and help me anymore because I think this is starting to become a tad bit annoying. I'll probably just have one of my friends come over and figure it out.

Thanks for all the help though.

For some random reason I get this error when trying to play Halo, but I tried PGR2 and it works fine.
