The American Press seems to be misleading (go figure) - It started with coverage of a "Nuke" test and ended with a "failed" nuked test. I'm not sure, but the BBC has not reported on yet, but I want to see what you guys thought of what the international community should do to ensure a peaceful ending. |

Well, I saw this on the news today and lately I havent been able to trust the fox news casts around but they said that the president refuses to make any attempt to sit down and speak with with the dictator about the issue. I know its a complicated situation and all about global politics but I believe that a peace conversation should always be the first step to a resolution. |

Peace would be great, but the thing is Kim Il Weirdo is paranoid to the point of being delusional. He is the biggest conspiracy theory supporter going.
All reports I have read say that it was a successful detonation but the thing is he may not be able weaponize it yet. Perhaps a bomb delivered by aircraft but not by missiles, yet.
The sad thing is he is spending cash on developing a nuclear capability while his people starve or work in labour camps, and live in fear of secret police and instituionalised torture.
This guy with Nukes is bad news for everyone and that includes you and I.
At the very least a negative effect on the economies of Asia will hurt us all.
Remember the last time there was an Asian crash?
It caused a global economic meltdown in 1997 and people in every country were affected, global unemployment grew to worrying levels, business was bad worldwide, and when that happens you (or your Dad's) bonus or job are at risk.
I feel that we have all been afflcited by the ancient Chinese curse:
"May you live in interesting times."
(unfortunately that one did not come from a fortune cookie) |
