Is there anyway to keep assholes who join servers from a) starting the game when there are like two people in it and b) rushing the clock.
Other than that Kai is really fucking awesome. |

No, that's built into Halo. The only thing you can do is delay it while you shout at them to stop
If they rush it, it's just gonna cause them more lag, the sooner people realise that., the better imo. |

Yeah I hate it when people rush the timer, It makes that race for the sniper rifle that little bit harder. |

rushing the clock is when you're about to start a halo game and the thirty second count down is going on someone presses 'A' to speed that up.
BTW I don't mean to come off as an asshole on this topic, but anyone who has experienced this knows what i'm talking about. |

Just something I think might help people if they get stuck in a game with someone who rushed teh timer - Halo uses the 30 second count to sync the XBoxes, so rushing the timer gives it less time and therefore the boxes arent synced properly at the start of the game. It dosent actually increase lag, it just makes the boxes have to sync at the start of the game rather than before the game starts... If you wait a while, you should all sync up and be fine.
A guy who used to be in Ixus back when we were called [WSD], has 768upload, so obviously it's a good host, but it takes 40 seconds to sync the boxes... If you're patient and wait for them to sync, you have a nice smooth 768 server to play on Just one of many examples I'm sure |

hehehehe - i was just gonna say that...anyways...ive hosted a few halo games...i have a 10mbit connection, 5mbit up 5mbit down, if you seem me on xlink hit me up, i can usually host smooth games with that connection...but as a reference, halo takes a lot more resources to play on a system link, the amount of data it has to send is much higher than a game like project gotham...
laters,
