For some reason, my library uses the genres as the year, the categories (year, genre, actors, etc.) as the genres, and so on. How can I reset my library? Oh and it happens only to my videos area. Music still works somehow but loads slowly (even freezes) when too much is put in a folder.

Reinstall XBMC and update it.

Morty, if I just delete it, I'll lose all my stuff in the folder (custom codecs, thumbnails, etc.) and have to set everything up again. Also, my XBMC is updated every couple weeks to keep with the times. I just want to know where all the library info is held.

Just delete the library , XBMC will create a new one when it starts again. You have to "search" and add items to libray again....

Take it a small loss by deleting it and then customize it how you like. Its a small price to pay to have XBMC working exactly as you want it to Cool

I resorted to doing as you guys suggested and deleted the entire XBMC folder and replaced it with the newest T3CH build. However, now, the sources.xml is blank (I'm readding everything manually) and the library is still screwed up. Heck, now, it's screwed up for every section; not just the videos.

Someone, please, tell me where library information is stored. I've been searching for the information for a month!

Did that. Didn't fix my problems with the video library, but now my music loads again. Thanks. I'm starting to think it's a skin issue.

yeah well with the video library just delete what hicaow said but use "myvideos" instead of mymusic...

You could also clean the library under My Videos Settings depending what version XBMC you got...

lastly...you could try to reset the GUI by simply holding down on the 2 joysticks (clicked in) as XBMC boots up...its one of those hidden things...

when you hold them both down as the black screen appears when it boots up, itll give you a prompt message asking you if you wanna reset the settings to default(including the skin)...

this does not reset settings accessed via editing of the XML files however...

but it may work for you. Wink
