Brief description of your network setup:2 Nics,BT 1mb usb modem
Operating System? WindowsXP Pro + SP1 + SP2
Problem description? Xlink Kai reboots my pc on start up of kai and configuration and i use a mac miniport to connect my network together,had this thing licked on the old kai but this thing has me beat

In Kaiconfig, select the NIC that is attached to the console.
That should fix it I think. |

done that still the same also tried with no firewall still the same,do you think there is a mac bridge bug in the new kai and r u working on it ? |

ahh ya, very likely the bridge causing it. Try disabling the bridge and only using one NIC and the Modem
Your really better off getting a router/switch. |

Could be the USB modem or your NIC drivers. Go to WinUpdate and get the latest drivers for your NIC. Report back when done. |

and when you removed the bridge, you remembered to select the single NIC you where testing in kaiconfig? |

ok, ive had a simaler problem I solved it by updating my drivers.
but last night it started again, someone sugested i run WinSockFix (do a google search to find it) and it solved the problem.
It was also sugested to me to check for spyware, but i havent done that yet. |

Do you have your Network card set in the Xlink Kai config, or is it auto detect and lock? |

ive followed your instructions exactly to the letter and tried all your fix advise but still i have not managed to get any where,maybe a format is in order maybe |

How old is your Network card? Is this on a new machine that the system keeps rebooting? It would not surprise me if you have faulty memory in the machine that causes your system to reboot when Kai starts. Not saying that any of these are the problem.
If your system is crashing, there should be alarms/errors in the event viewer, can you post a screen shot of the system? |
