XBMC Freezes

I have the latest TECH build of XBMC and the 360 skin.

Every time that I open Kai in XBMC it freezes. If I have the engine running on my PC and then power up the Xbox and load XBMC, it will freeze, sometimes almost instantly, other times I'll beable to browse around a bit before it locks up.

I'm fairly new to running KAI on my Xbox but I've used it in the past before just fine.

I did have a rather wierd thing happen to me though. I did a clean install with AID 4.10 tonight and when I launched XBMC and switched to the 360 skin there was no TEXT on the screen. So I went back to dash and FTP'd in and removed the 360 skin, and put in the latest. Maybe this little issue I had has something to do with Kai locking up?

What is the absolute BEST STABLE release of XBMC for use with Kai?

There is no stable version of xbmc. Thats why i dont use it. Just use the PC UI.

I myself disagree with Mort's comment. The XBMC UI works pretty well overall, at least for myself. Ive only noticed it freezing if you try to use the UI before it connects to an orbital server. So simply wait until it gives you the notification that it connected to an orbital form the XBMC UI then use it(assuming you have notifications enabled).

Latest Stable Build is XBMC version 2.0.1

don't use the stable 2.0.1 release tho , it sux .. get the most recent SVN build , XBMC has come a long way since that last point release ..

yea i agree latest versin causes problems, and i have a experience that skinning can freeze you too, so just use xbmc default skin,

dude that used to happen to me and i found the best way to maek it not happen.first off make it so that it DOES NOT autolaunch.liek anything,dvd,pics,all of that.and when you first start up xbmc WAIT UNTILL IT GIVES THE MESSAGE STATING THAT IT HAS CONNCECTED TO KAI.if you dont then itll usually freeze EXSPECIALLY if theres a disk in.now if you wait which will take about 10 seconds then it shouldnmt freeze when you go into kai Razz
