Network not reachable

Is your network reachable? no
Are you using a port-forward?yes
Is your console being detected?yes
Brief description of your network setup:Linksys wrt54g All hardwired
Do you use a software firewall? NO What brand? Have you made any changes to it?
Operating System?win xp sp2
Problem description?network not reachable

I have a linksys router wrt54g windows sp2 all hard wired I have tried to port fwd port 30000 , 50665, 21, to no avail. Kai can see the xbox and I can even get on xbc(dosent that tunnel too) just tried it to see if I was port fwding the right way. I set everything in Kai config to normal use

I also checked to see that my IP was 192.168.1.100 on my PC by going to command prompt and typing Ipconfig.
If you need more info that I did not specify please ask me for it as this is all I can think of in my confussion

try manually deleting all the .exe files in the kai folder except kailaunch.exe, make sure not to delete the .txt files

then run kailaunch.exe and it should download all the components again. You might have a corrupt file.

no go I dont understand why it wont work

Go to Program files and search for the folder Xlink Kai Evo7. In that folder and delete the kaiConfig, kaiEngine, and kaiUI. Then open the only .exe left kaiLaunch and it will redownload the latest updates.

srry you mis understood what I meant
I did It re downloaded but still not reachable

and I meant I dont know why it wont work

I can see pings does that help

And you have no firewall running? What version of Kai are you running, you can check that under the magnifying glass.

In your router, what IP has port 30000 open? Have you tried to remove Xlink Kai from add/remove programs and then delete the folder in Program files. Then reinstall it?

Yes I tried that too

I could not find a way to connect to the old one either. Same problem
I have tried that xbc it works but I dont like it thats why im trying so hard to get this on to work

Yeah I can, but through MSN I don't get any of your computer info because you send an invite. It's up to you, I just want to see if there is anything I am not thinking of while looking at your system.

OK, can you ask users in the chatroom if they see your ping or if it sticks on 'Establishing'?

Sometimes if the 'Network Reachable' is failing, the "ping test" is guaranteed to reveal a problem or not.

Does your router have port-triggering as well as port-forwarding options? You may need to play around with it there.

Here's another test you can do. Set the PC to the DMZ on your router. Run Kai, and see what you get. If it works, then the problem lies at your router. Make sure you don't keep yourself as the DMZ for too long, so remember to turn it off afterwards.

Okay here is where we are.

I tried every combination of Kai config with no success.
Reinstalled a few times
He is on the right version of Kai
He can see my ping fine, but I cannot see his
Xbox is found
Netowork is "not reachable yet"
He does not see my PM's , but I can see his.
No errors in event viewer
firewall is off
port 30000 is open for UDP on local PC IP
NIC is up to date on drivers
Linsys router, I am lost...

Anyone want to take this one on?

It's a problem lying somewhere with his router's forward. It's just not getting through, that's why he still has Netork Reachable: Not yet and it's also why you never see his ping.
