Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? Yes
Is your console being detected? No
Brief description of your network setup: ntl cable box connected to linksys wrt54g router. PC running kai is hard wired to the router as is the xbox.
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? Not on PC running kai - XP firewall off also
Operating System? XP SP1
Problem description? All is fine - network reachable etc. until i get to the 'looking for games' bit (im using halo) kai shuts itself down. I have chosen the NIC rather than autodetect and lock option. This happens with halo and also I tried unreal championship with the same results

kaiPort=30000
kaiDeepPort=0
kaiAccept=LOCAL
kaiTimeout=NOUI
kaiNIC=2
kaiLaunch=BOTH
kaiHomebrew=OFF
kaiPAT=OFF
kaiAutoLogin=ON
kaiWireless=
kaiUI=Default

Thanks for any help guys! Smile

Go to windows update and see if there is a newer driver for your NIC card. Then set it in the Kai config and try it again.

Yeah - realised after I posted Embarassed textbook stuff.

Anyway back to business - it looks like I'm a bit further on..... kai doesn't shut itself down now but my xbox still isn't being detected when at the looking for games screen. It is a modded box btw - I assume this won't make a difference.

Thanks again.

Since you have a modded XBox, could you run any dashboard (Evox, Avalaunch etc), and get the MAC address of the XBox. Reply back with it here.
