Quote:
Sony BMG told the world that it was piracy for someone to back-up a CD they have bought or upload it onto their MP3 player.

If this were true, then more people would be pirates than there would be legitimate users.

All music companies are the same... They want profits. Fuck 'em, and download until your drives full. When they stop charging 20 bucks for a 25 cent piece of plastic, maybe i'll change my views.

Agreed...i respect that artists need paying, but the price for a music cd is still way too much.

It'd surprise ya what an artist actually makes from a cd going multi-platinum. They make much more touring and selling t-shirts. The cd is just a marketing tool really. Established bands like Metallica and the Stones don't need it, but the newer groups need some sort've promotion. Sometimes it backfires though... Like Simple Plan. I've heard this shit on MTV, and would never be caught dead at their concert. Wink
