just finished Portal... i must say, game was a bit short, 2:30 hours took me (spoiler: Last boss was too easy). although there are bonus levels, like time-trial etc. gonna start playing EP2 then EP3  |

Is it worth the buy?
I never played any of the Half Life games or anything.
I understand you get 5(?) games for $60?
Wanting to know if the games are any fun... |

I love HL2! I bought it for PC and now I buy the orange box! There are 5 Games in it. HL2 and the two episodes are in my personal top5 Games ever...
So I hope it will be supported by kai very soon... |

From what I've seen it's worth it.. But the only multiplayer part of it is Team Fortress so if you're not into single player games then you'll probably be disappointed.

as many people think and i seen reviewer say as well, but it ain't 5 games. Or not 5 full games anyway.
Original Half-Life 2 has approx 10 hours of gameplay, sux if you already played it few years ago, as i didn't bother to play again. But if you didn't you SHOULD play it as it has great gameplay and story. EP1 i played last nite, took me about 2 hours to complete, story carry on right after HL2 ended from. gonna play EP2 tonight will see how long that is. Graphically the game is out of date. Feels like Xbox 1 game upscaled. As textures are flat and aliasing are bad.
as mentioned above, Portal only too me 2.30 hours as well. unlike other puzzle games where game gets harder after levels, but this game got easier once you figure out the gameplay (well for me anyway). But very recommended to play this game.
Not played Team Fortres 2(multi-play only), but far as i know it only has 1 or 2 levels and game suffers from major lag. Graphics are good though. |

Personally I can't wait to get this, original Half Life/Counter-Strike/Team-Fortress/Day of Defeat introduced me to my love (obsession) with online gaming. Having nothing but a 56k at home I used to play these a sadly missed place called Lanzone - bit like a InternetCafe but you could smoke/drink and party there as well. And no boring herberts checking their e-mails 
PC complexity and prices of upgrading drove me to consoles long ago so to play the latest versions of my old favourites is amazing. I only hope decent versions of DoD/CS come out as well. |

Day of defeat, Firearms, Counter-strike.......love em all. 
Shame valve didnt include the updated counter-strike in with the orange box. |

If you think Portal was too easy, try the six "advanced" test chambers... They're a bit nastier. |
