For us down under the patch didnt come online till 30-40 mins after the time it was said to be.
I love the dash, its alot better and more realistic. It has features that Sony proberly couldn't even dream of having on the PS3, the 3D avatars are awsome (gotta love those).
To sum it up the new dash shows how good one console can become without having to bring out another one after it. Its truely amazing and i cant believe im saying this but Microshit actually did something right this time around |

Dash is ok. I do have some hates about it already.
1. no xvid playback unless your are signed into xbl
2. no iphone/ipod touch mp3 playback (doubt it will ever happen) so much for LIPS my missus just bought, cant stream any tunes from my touch!!!!!!!
3. everything is all over the place. i.e. friends list, i liked hitting the guide button to bring up the friends list, cant do that now.
4.keep getting errors whilst trying to see community games
5. only 2% of my friends list have avatars....hurry up and make one! heheh
ohh and finally, if i have bought xbl arcade games, let me play them without having to be connected to xbl ( i know its not a new thing, just pisses me off that they revert to trial when not connected to xbl)
Other then that, yeah its all good |

You can still do that.. All of the old functions from the guide button menu are still there, plus they added more stuff to it and made it look like the old dashboard interface. The new guide button friends list is definitely more useful than the 3d one.

I'm guessing that you had to replace or repair your box.. You can transfer all of the licenses to your new box so you can play the games offline by going through this process: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/ |

You can still play ipods on your 360. Only works with regular ipods not the touch just downgrade the firmware to 1.2.1 and ur 360 will read it. This isnt a microsoft issue its apples firmware that disables the interface with the 360. |

"I like" One great thing i like about the new dashboard update is having more then 2 people in a conversation such as a group chat, found out the limit is 8 for privet chat.
"small dislike" Another thing i found problems with is pushing the center button to see what a friends message was and found out it didn't go to the message but to the regular xbox live in game window, That or its my lack of timing on hitting that center button fast enough when a invite or message has been sent. |

I think the new dashboard is pretty good overall from what little I did tinkering with it. The only thing that bothers me off the bat is the weird sideways 3D friends list. I think for that feature, I'll stick with the guide button friends list. I'll post up anything else as I use more features of the dashboard.
My Avatar- (That's the closest I'm gonna get to a RROD shirt)
