Next Update for Kai

Kai hasnt really gotten an "update" since the UI got the new contact location details

So when will kai get the next "update"?

Yes it does need a update , because you can play with the Playstation 3 on Kai . I've tested it a couple of times and it works great .
If you want to play a Ps3 Game , then you can find me in the Ps2 Arena .

oh wow all it needs is a PS3 arena not that big and really wouldnt be a update

Yea I don't think that qualifies as an update....LOL....just a new arena. Personally, I see no problems with Kai as it is....its fully functional and yes, there are some features that would be nice to have added but other than that or little other things, I can't really think of anything that would need to be overhauled at the current time. The only things I think would be nice to have are:

1 - A notification feature when someone adds you as a friend.
2 - A private arena auto-kick function for ppl over a certain ping.
3 - The ability to have a list of auto-ban kai tags for your arenas? (not so much this one, but the other two would probably be the most useful)

I think it'd be nice if you can see your PM's without going to messenger mode

since there has been alot of people with banned 360's coming lately, i would like to see a ping search filter, where you can search for people with low enough pings to play 360 games with you. i would also like to see a web interface just like xlink one. i think mean mf, instead of trying to make a whole new tunneling software, just combine what he has done to x1, and combine it with kai just adding the best of both, and it will make a great application.

The ping kicker is a bad idea being that everyones ping spikes and then they get kicked.

it be ok but i mean it be better if it had a Auto-Matic Name Kicker so when that you are creating the Private-Arena you can put in names so that they will come in and get auto-maticlly banned or you can make it so once you ban someone from one private arena EVERY private arena you make auto bans that person Smile

u could always make these feature an option a piece, bc for FarCry, a bad ping host happens when ppl download maps, BUT in halo 2 is happens when the host is trying to host too much, just make it an option or something, a "Turn On" and "Turn Off" kinda thing Wink

i guess you could not the greatest thing to think of when you start a Arena but hey it would be a good thing or you could add everyone on MSN and start a Group Chat Smile

I'm hoping PS3 will be supported soon as well, as it seems pretty clear it that people have tested it and that it works.

1. Feature included in X1, don't know if it will ever be added to Evo7 or not

2. Auto Kick is a horrible idea as most of the time the host tries to host to many people, then all the pings go bad to the host when it is actually him... then everyone gets kicked.

4.Though its a good idea in concept, I think there is definitely a privacy issue there with some people that don't want to be followed or may be stalked.

That can be done in some of the other UIs, though it cannot be done on the default Windows UI. I know you can see them in the JKaiUI+respond while not in messenger mode

I think a private group chat would be a good idea

A knock option? Interesting idea.... I was thinking maybe there could be a way to guarantee someone a "pass" in your arena if it was full.

I'm not saying anything will be added/changed as I'm not a developer and do not program for XLink. These are just my own views on what has been suggested.
