American Football is the only real sport left IMO. It was nice to see a team go 16 - 0. I need my Buccaneers to win the Superbowl though |

Yeah the Browns just missed on it, if Indy would've beat Tenn, then the Browns would've been in it. It should be a good postseason this year though. The AFC is looking to have some strong matchups with NE, Indy, Pitt, Jax, and San Diego all looking capable of knocking each other off. Even mighty New England has looked very vulnerable in quite a few of their past games.
In the NFC, I seriously think its gonna be Green Bay coming out on top. I don't think Dallas is playing nearly as well as they were early in the season, and I think the Packers are the most completely well rounded team in the NFC right now. Defense is dominant, and their offense is perfectly rounded out with 4 very good WR's for Favre to throw to, and Ryan Grant looking solid as ever at RB. The only other team to really worry about in the NFC I think is the Washington Redskins. They have been firing on all cylinders in all phases of the game the past 4 or 5 weeks, and are riding a 4 game win streak into the playoffs. They're getting tremendous play out of career journeyman backup Todd Collins, and even if starter Jason Campbell got healthy enough to play, i'd be hard pressed to hand the reins back over to him at this point after all Collins has done.
As far as the Pats going undefeated....its a great accomplishment. One marred by the Spygate incident, and also by seemingful arrogance on many a seemingful "4th and 8 go-for-it-though-we're-already-up-by-30" plays....I was happy to see Randy Moss break the TD reception mark, and happy to see Brady break the TD pass mark. Both are remarkable feats that I don't think will be approached again in the near future. Definitely not the TD reception record. Happy to see Moss has bounced back from that black hole in his career called Oakland, where he had the miserable experience of having the likes of Aaron Brooks and Andrew Walter throwing to him....or rather, throwing past him, throwing behind him, and usually more often than not, throwing to the defender covering him.
On a side note, how about Devin Hester? That kid is the greatest return man of all time....and he's only in his SECOND YEAR. 11 Career returns for TDs! That is truly remarkable. Considering the all time leader, Brian Mitchell took like 86 years to do it, i'd say Hester has a great shot at completely rewriting the return-man record book. Even Deion Sanders, who many consider the greatest return man ever, has said that Hester is better than him. That's an ultimate compliment, to have an arrogant dude like Prime Time bigging you up like that LOL.
BTW, NFL > Everything else completely..... |
