Hi everyone, Im new to xlink, and i want to play games online on my xbox360 via xlink kai. Now I was trying to find tutorials and stuff, because i'm not exactly sure how it works. So I know my ports are good, it finds my xbox, but how does that menu work, for instance for COD4, how do I join a game if I see one on the Xlink kai messenger thinghy. Up till now, I have found one game server on COD4, and when i tried to connect it said error in connection. And this server wasnt listed in the Xlink kai program thinghy. Im probably saying something very stupid, but im sure there are tutorials, I guess im looking in the wrong places. So if anyone knows a good tutorial please tell me!
I did read the manual of posting here, and also about Xbox360 ping limits.
So i know that I wont be able to join alot of the servers, but first I need to know how to properly join servers.
Thanks in advance |

When you see a game on the box and in the kai prog. in diagnostic mode there is "reachable yes" every thing workes allright. Now you have to find somebody with a good ping you can play with.
Just click on the game on the xbox and if the ping is good enough you can play. |

where can you see your own ping? or do you just have to ask someone what it shows? |

Your ping to yourself would be 0. A ping is pretty much is how fast the packets you send to somewhere else and get sent back. XLink uses that information between every user and tells them how long it takes packets between the users to be given and sent back(then it estimates a time).

In order to play 360 games with some sort of chance, you need to make sure both you and the person you are trying to play with both see each other with a 30 m/s ping or less. Assuming you are using the default Windows UI, people's ping numbers to you are on the lower right hand side of their xtag with a number. |
