Yarayrayryaryar..I'm wondering if Nintendo's Online Adapter for the DS and/or Action Replays WiFi MAX will run on Windows 2000, I plan on getting a DS soon and I want to play online with Mario Kart..actually I just want to kick my friends around in it..BUT YOU GET THE IDEA.

Anyway.

If anyone knows if Wifi MAX or the Nintendo Adapter will work on 2000 or anything that ISNT XP...please let me know.

NOW FEAR ME I AM NOOB! :3..and I love you all. Laughing

The one from nintendo doesnt work on mac and only on Windows XP. If you want to know about the ARs check google or you can check AR website and look at the product and its "system requirements"
BTW is the AR wifi adapter cheaper and do they sell it at stores (oposed to online only)?

the ones from nintendo are available in their online store. they said that you will find them in stores around the time metroid prime hunters comes out (march). Rumors say that MPH might ship with the USB adapter.

Action Replay's WiFi MAX doesnt say anything on their site about it, which is why I'm posting here because APPARENTLY SOME PEOPLE CAN GET ONLINE (going by the Animal Crossing DS thread).

I dont know if Action Replay has WiFi MAX in stores, but they are like..10 dollars cheaper than the Nintendo WiFi Adapter, however because of it being called the Nintendo Adapter and not the DS Adapter, one may think that this could also work on the Revolution when it comes out in the future. So..

Nintendo Adapter - XP Only, Might work with the Revo when it is out
Action Replays WiFi MAX - Unknown what OS it would work on, But Supports both DS and PSP and is easy to use..and Cheaper.

Anyway..back to the original thing..I need to know weither or not WiFi MAX works on anything that isnt XP. I am running Windows 2000 (XP without the bells and whistles) and dont know if the official Nintendo Adapter would work on it, Nintendo doesnt say, Action Replays page for WiFi MAX doesnt say.

and..

Thats where you can get WiFi MAX..since Juicers asked. :3

Edit: basically..I need to know for either one..but no ones told me anything. Razz..and I'm not upgrading my crappy computer to XP just to play my DS online

APARENTLY you didn't look hard enough for the answers to your question. I told you it said it.

Nintendo WIFI Connection USB: What do i need to use the USB Adapter
http://www.nintendowifi.com/consumerservice/showTopic.do?topicId=Home_USB_Help&catId=USB#ConHelp_USB_need
Windows XP Only, Broadband Only

AND

Action Replay WIFI MAX for DS:
http://www.datel.co.uk/press_release.asp?i=117

It says: Internet gaming through any internet-enabled PC Any PC means all OS and not MACs

It took me less than 1 min to find the answers to our questions. I think your just lazy and want the answers to be handed to you an a freakin silver platter. Take note, everything in life wont be handed to you easily, you have to work for it.
