What Xbox Dashboard do you use?Which do you prefer?

Has anybody had the problem where sometimes ur dling in XBMC for too long and when u go to reboot xbmc (in-game reset) or load a game, it fails to load the xbe file and black screens... Confused

Mine seems to fail to load games after the timeout shuts off the hard drive, I then have to reboot before i can load any games etc.

I really dont like XBMC. I mean the scripting is cool but its so glitchy. Good ole fashioned UnleashX for me. And occasionally MXM.

glitchy!? .. i use XBMC everyday on a couple of xboxs and its perfect .. try a new build and not that old shit 'stable' version .. google T3CH and get

T3CH XBMC 2008-06-16 SVN rev13573

the latest build .. i never have any of those issues you all have .. oh and can unleashx do this ..

If UnleashX users are really going to have to defend "our" dashboard then I'll say that it works, and works well at that. I'm not out trying to use my dashboard's extravagant features to get laid or impress my friends.

I can run games or apps fine, browse or change files at ease and the FTP works great. Best of all, there's little to no delay in anything I want to do. I don't click on the game menu and wait for the games to load. If I want to use media other than games I use XBMC, but that only applies for about 50% of what I use my xbox for.

I've got plenty of consoles and games to play, and I still play plenty of xbox games. If for some reason I didn't like xbox games I would easily have XBMC as my dash, it's an incredible media center. As it stands though, I don't need to have a flashy skin, nor does my heart hiccup when I'm about to walk 10 feet to the computer if I intend to play on kai. Sure UnleashX hasn't had an update in years (that I know of, I myself haven't checked in about 3 years), but is there some new rash of xbox hackings that I have yet to hear about?

I don't see why this thread can't just live and let live. It's a poll thread, and I'd assume answers to correspond along the same lines, such as one liners like, "XBMC all the way baby," instead of forumers acting as if they own stock in XBMC. Is it so hard to believe that it works well for you and that there's no added value in your life by converting UnleashX or other dashboard heretics?

but yeah, i dont really abuse my xbox like most of you do but i like xbmc for it's features, and then again EvoX is my default, but when i'm FTP-ing i have to switch to XBMC just because i get about 30X faster speeds with XBMC

Evox can only ftp over the command channel (active connection) while xbmc supports passive ftp where multiple connections are made at once, thats why it's so much faster.

I think they should of done better on scripting on xbmc, I've had countless times of my xbox freezeing or locking me out from going to a different area on xbmc when the script is running, but at the most i think they should make more skins or atleast work on the media center skin because im starting to get tired of seeing mc360 skin ive tryed others and the only ones that got my attention were xbox classic and media center skins. Problem is when running this skins they are very glitchy i found that xbox classic is very well glitchy but good longing still and has that unleashX dash look as for meda center i would say its done well but should improve on its stablity and its features thats about it. So... XBMC Dash FTW

The only reason why I don't use MC360 skin anymore is, that the German translation sucks so much that it is no good to use it. I don't know who has written it, but it is the spelling of like a 6 year old guy. Half of the skin isn't translated, anyway. (I am German and I always prefer using programs in German)

Timeout is whats causing it just set the spin down time for longer should fix the problem depending on how long your transfers are

i use xbmc as an app that i select from my UX dash. but xbmc is the only thing selectable from my dash, ive deleted every other text and option appart from xbmc. i used to have xbmc as the dash but the only reason why i even stil have UX on is coz it can play .wmv and .xmv backgrounds and is very easy to modify. UX is more of an introduction to my xbox.......X-LEENA (got my own name for it)

UX skin Halo modified, xbmc skin aeon (if you aint ever heard of it, i suggest you to check it out....so unique, so classy)
