Is your network reachable? Yes
Are you using a port-forward? Yes
Is your console being detected? Unknown
Brief description of your network setup:
DLink 604 Router-> HP Pavilion a250n/PS2/XBOX
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? Yes, Win XP firewall, Disabled... Router also has a firewall but I do not know if and how to disable it
Operating System? Win XP (SP2 may be installed)
Problem description? When I attempt to start a game with Armored Core Nexus, the game will lock up when attempting to auto detect the network, with manuel set up... the game just sits at the waiting screen. I've forwarded the port 30000 UDP in my router and set the PS2's network conection through the startup disk with a static IP but I'm not certian I did that right. I am not certian if my router uses DCHP or not.

Okay man, can you join games at all? Or is this just a hosting problem?

When you are using a PS2 or GameCube console things change a bit. Your PS2 or GC has to obtain it's IP address from the Kai Engine which runs a DHCP server. Often if your router runs DHCP you need to block communication between your PS2 and router by disallowing the MAC address. Another option is to disable the DHCP running on your router and manually configure the IP address for your computer and any other device that needs to access the router.

Either way, the PS2 has to get it's IP address from Kai which means you need it setup for DHCP and not a manual configuration. What you would then do is run Kai and login. After Kai is running you start up your PS2 and it should obtain it's IP address from the Kai Engine. You join the arena, load the game and voilla you're playing online.

I also noticed that you said you're using a port forward, however your config doesn't indicate that you are. Run the Kai Configuration Utility and enter the same value in Kai Port that you forwarded on your router. Leave Kai Deep Port set to 0.

Give that a try and let us know how things work out.
