Un-install XLink
Delete the XLink Kai folder from C/Program Files/

goto this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\YourAccountName\Application Data\ and delete the folder XLink Kai

NOTE: You need to enable hidden files and folders

Download a fresh copy from here
http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/binary/XLinkKai-7.3.1.7-win32.msi

Install it and once installed goto Start/All Programs/XLink Kai and click on Configure Kai

If that doesnt work

try this ..

I think I have a solution to the problem, or at least this worked for me. This is in no way an official fix yet until the team can get it confirmed by more people.

CCleaner
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

1. Uninstall XLink Kai via the uninstaller from the Control Panel--->"Add of Remove Programs"

2. Download and Run CCleaner. Use both the "Cleaner" and "Registry" features and make sure it deletes the files/references. This way it SHOULD remove any temporary internet files as well as old kai registry references(from previous kai builds) that might be causing the runtime error.

3. Reinstall the latest version of Kai...

also posted from another user

"U can try totally uninstalling xlink(all the registry files included).it worked for me. google revo uninstaller and use the advanced search. Idea"

those 2 suggestions have fixed a number of issues when going from old kai to new ..
