OMG it´s not that bad,
I actually think it works better than mozilla or IE7, Firefox is a bitch to me
and IE7 won´t install
so I like this one better (and no i don´t want a guide to install IE7 i´m fine with this one) |

Don't get me started on Opera Corndog. Opera is the nagging middle child of the browser family, always looking for attention due to lack of popularity and general annoyance. The new 9.5 broke quite a few javascript scripts that I have seen by creating a new way of processing JS unlike any other browser....because they felt like it. Opera should be phased out of existence as far as I am concerned.
Safari is quite nice, seems far better on a Mac though. Its super quick, if you get the latest Web-kit builds which are eventually transposed into Safari, you will see how fast that baby is.
I see Safari and Firefox on opposite ends of the browser scale, gradually converging at the same point. Firefox hoping for the performance, elegance and design of Safari and Safari hoping to be more extensive with extension support and security features. |

Safari seems to work faster then firefox for me. Im using a HSDPA wireless connection till i get a real broadband connection at the weekend, And it would hang half way through loading webpages on firefox, But with safari, It loads them quick, very quick! |

Muffin, you comments are not only spot on but extremely well put. Opera is very much the nagging middle child. Unfortunately, they are currently the leader for embedded devices--except the iPhone, obviously, which runs Safari.
For my day to day stuff, I generally run Safari because it is extremely fast and light on CPU (at least on my Mac). For web development, nothing beats Firefox. Unfortunately, Firefox is a pig on ram and cpu resources compared to Safari or Opera.
Internet Explorer is a horrible evil from a web dev's perspective. It's DOM handling, CSS adherence, and javascript implementation stray so far from the standards (W3C) that other browsers follow that I spend an additional 30% of my time just on IE compatibility issues. Also, it doesn't run on my Mac.

Jeez you guys go hella indepth on this, I don't know half of what you said. But I prefer firefox, Its the best by far in my opinion. Ive never tryed Safari, IE just sucks, Opera looks nice but doesnt function nearly as well as Firefox does. |

Firefox 3 looks promising - they definitely did a lot of work on the memory leaks and other performance problems that plagued v2. The plugins need to do a lot of catching up though.
Safari on Windows could be interesting someday, but they've run into a couple of very serious security problems already and it's taking them way longer than it should to acknowledge and patch them. It also leaks memory as badly as Firefox ever did. I'd hold off using it on a "real" system until it's a little more stable and battle-tested. |

Firefox 3 is running so smoothly right now for me, it's ridiculous.
My plugins aren't up and running though |
