Okay in all seriousness, i want to get a wii
but im skeptical.....
can people on here give me a list of reasonable.... well reasons on why i should get one
i want the perks, pro's and con's the goods and bads the ups and downs
i want to no everything that you know about the wii,
the reason i want one, is because, it seems competiveless, dont get me wrong i like kickin ass and winning competitions, but theres also a spot missing, were i just want to get behind the wheel of a go kart and race with my friends in mario cart, or maybe shoot some nigz down, in my favorite RPG of all time Zelda....
a few questions i specificly want answered...
1. how do you chat in this thing, ingame too
2. recharge able wii motes? im not paying for fucking batterys every other week
3. wifi... not a fan, lan option?
thats it
also im well aware of what mods are availabe and trust me im deckin the shit out of my wii when and if i do get it, its easier to exploit then the damn gamecube, playing DVD's on a Gamecube was hard as piss..

You can buy 3rd party rechargeable battery packs for the wiimotes from nyko I think.
Pros:
- 16 Watts!
- Nes, Snes, and N64 games!
- Works as a fully functional GameCube
- GameCube controllers work in most wii games (Brawl Etc)
Cons:
- No Dvd player?!?!? (wtf?)
- Lan adapter is an external USB Dongle
Hope this helps! |

There is currently no in-game voice option. The current line-up of multiplayer games is limited and connecting with friends is complicated as you must exchange Wii numbers. Do not buy a Wii for multiplayer gaming.
Now, as for single player/share play games I would argue the Wii is far superior to either the 360 or the PS3. Games like Zelda, Okami, Mario Galaxy, and Paper Mario are some of the most enjoyable games I've ever played. Also, the wiimote really enriches game play adding a tactile feel to the experiencing and allowing you to play much more naturally than the 10+ button controllers out there.
Lastly, the Opera browser which supports Youtube will afford you hours of enjoyment outside of games. Virtual Console and Game Cube support are great for playing some of the great Nintendo games of the past. I played both Mario Sunshine and Zelda OOT on the Wii.
As for connectivity, your retailer will also sell the LAN adaptor for about $30 that plugs in to the USB port at the back of the Wii. I prefer Wifi myself, but the LAN option is there if you prefer.
The Wii is the 'every man' console. Intuitive, accessible, and versatile.

The Wii has no shortage of party-type games....everything from the included Wii Sports, to Wii Play, Warioware, Mario Party 8, Super MonkeyBall, Rayman Raving Rabbids, EA Playground, etc....just about every game you can find for the Wii is good for get-togethers. |
