I suggest you use the new version of kai for linux http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/binary/kaiEngine-7.4.15-linux-x86.tgz
The older versions (Kaid included) will soon be disabled.
Anyways, I'm assuming that 0050F282E5EA is the mac address of your xbox (you can check in the dashboard). You can try adding the xbox's mac manually in the kaid.conf file, that may help |

Xbox consoles *are meant to fail DHCP configuration* - although I was pretty sure it wouldn't even *try* DHCP capture on an xbox unless you had the "Xbox homebrew" set in the conf?
You don't want "xbox homebrew" set in the conf unless you're someone who is trying to play something like Lantus' port of Doom on the xbox working over xlink - normal games should not use DHCP...

Incidentally, you're called "river trent" - does that mean you're in Nottingham? If so, respond - I'm there and I'll pop round and sort it for you

Do they appear then all the sudden disappear over and over, because if it is then it could be that your ping with that someone who you are trying to connect to is probably over 200 ping which means that is normal. |

They just appear once, very brief. Would I be better off using kaiengine than kaid, is there a conf file for kaiengine? I am using 64bit Ubuntu so will I need to sort out 32bit libpcap 0.8? |

Seems like your network setup is working, no more tweaking necessary. The games appearing and disappearing is a Halo2 'feature'. Search the forum to find lots of examples, like this one: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17882&highlight=dissapear
Seems you didnt actually enter a Private Arena, those would normally have just one person hosting a game, so the problem wouldnt occur there. |

I'm not exactly sure but in the kai that you are using that you had said that you are getting a list but it disappears, are you able to see a ping in it with contacts if not try using the other kai maybe it might fix the problem or show the ping. |

Sorry, my mistake, that was a feature in kaid 7.0.0.5, not 7.0.0.7 |
