Hello,

Today I was buy M$ headset to my console, but unfortunately it won't work. Maybe you think, that it is hardware problem, but not - when I run Xlink on windows everything works properly.

I don't use windows, I have check it on my friend computer. Please help me run Headset on Linux

Second case - I could make polish translation of whole xlink, but I don't know where, or to who write in this case. So If you could suggest me sth. that would be nice.

Best regards, and sorry for my English.

Do you happen to have the game Splinter Cell Chaos Theory? Since this might be game related and it "might" just occur in Halo2, we could quickly test this theory by playing a game of Splinter Cell in which i know voice works.

I think it's more likely that the Windows machine's port forwarding is set up correctly and the Linux machine's isn't.

You'll have to set ubuntu to use a static ip address, then forward port 30000 UDP in your router to the address you gave your computer.

You can set the ip adress by clicking the network icon in the top bar of the desktop and editing the settings there, or you can do it via shell

Router forwarding - http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm

I'm using AADSL modem, my network is set to static, I don't have router.

I don't know if I have any firewall on Linux, I don't know how to check if I have one either.

I have forwarded port, and it not help. Headset still not work. I can't hear my voice and other players.
Also segmentation fault error - it comes almost on every time when I try to run xlink.
I try to run it about 20 times and sometimes engine start after 5, sometimes after 10.
