Last night around 3 am, I was woken up by a really loud bang at which i thought was a thunderstorm, but it felt as though it had just hit our house, because the things on our walls fell off.
Then shortly after that, i heard really weird thunder sounds, very short and always sounding the same loud bursts. Then i was scared, and ill admit it, i went to my parents room to tell my mom... something is going on. As soon as i said that my moms window lit up very slowly, but very brightly, and then the biggest boom I've ever heard.
I personally thought it was bombs, so i went into the living room and turned on the news, and i didn't have my glasses on at the time, and i briefly saw a news brief on air raids! Then i read further and it was a news brief on the war going on in Russia. But the weather channel said Thunderstorms were coming, so i thought it was a storm.
So i stepped outside and was still hearing these explosions. I also heard sirens and firetrucks, a lot of them because I live off this major street called Sheppard. I was too freaked out, because it couldn't have been lightning because the skies were clear.. So i went to sleep scared as hell.
This morning i woke up and turned on the news channel, and to my surprise....

Massive explosion rocks North York propane facility
Police have enforced a mandatory evacuation for the thousands of people living within the area surrounded by Sheppard Avenue and Highway 401, and Dufferin Street and Keele Street.
A fire at Sunrise Propane, near Keele Street and Wilson Avenue, has been burning since a massive explosion rocked the business and surrounding neighbourhood just before 4 a.m.
The facility was engulfed in flames and windows were blown out in homes in the surrounding blocks. The sound of the blast could be heard up to seven kilometers away.
Police don't know what caused the explosion.
Over 130 fire fighters remain on the scene of the six-alarm fire. Some small spot fires continue to burn in the area.
Police say they plan to allow two rail tankers filled with fuel to continue burning due to difficulties extinguishing the blaze. They are trying to prevent a build-up of pressure in the tankers, which can hold 220,000 litres of propane and could explode if not kept cool.
Officials have evacuated everyone within a 1.6-kilometre radius of the explosion site. Evacuees are being directed to York University's north entrance, on Steeles Avenue west of Keele Street.
They have also declared the area a no-fly zone.
The TTC has made buses available for area residents who don't have a vehicle. Residents are urged to take any medications they take regularly, as well as family pets, when they leave their homes.
Air quality readings have so far indicated that the air in the area is not toxic.
I live just outside that 1.6 km radius, and our house was still affected by the little blasts.
Longest god dam post I've ever made in my lifesss, but it was really intresting night id like to share with you. |

Wow. Thats messed up.
One time i had an old teddy bear laying on my floor that would make sounds when you press his hands and feet (saying stuff like moma, poppa...). During a thunder storm lightning struck just out side my window and the bear talked O.O. It was late at night and no one was in the room to touch the bear. I guess the lightning strike connected the circuit in the bear. |

Those pictures are hella sexy too, The contrast of the enormous flames with the darkened hills looks relly cool. |

Yeah, it was a scary weekend. I offered to bring some marshmallows over to the inlaws, but Gunslinger refused.
